Adrian Peterson Throws For TD

It was nice to see Georgia Southern's own Adrian Peterson throw a touchdown in yesterday's Chicago Bears win over New Orleans. He's looked really good the last half of this season. Maybe the Bears will finally look at using him as a starter next season.

A Little Year-End Insanity

It seems the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has decided that going after people who share music files online isn't enough. Now they are claiming that it is illegal to copy your legally-purchased CDs onto your own computers. Yep, you read that correctly. Importing songs from a CD you own into iTunes is a crime in the eyes of the RIAA.

A while back, Forbes Magazine prepared a list of the 15 wealthiest fictional characters. It's a timely listing, seeing as how the top person on the list is Santa Claus. Forbes describes his wealth as "infinite". Here's the complete list:

Former GSU Kicker In NFL Pro Bowl

Former Georgia Southern kicker Rob Bironas was named to the AFC Pro Bowl Team, representing the Tennessee Titans. The Pro Bowl will take place on February 10th at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

Bironas was on Georgia Southern's 2000 National Championship team.

He leads the NFL with 31 field goals. He has kicked a season-best 56-yard field goal and has converted 26-of-26 extra points. Earlier this season Bironas kicked an NFL-record eight field goals in one game, including the game-winner as time expired, to lead the Titans to a 38-36 win over the Houston Texans.

Interesting Video

Whenever winter weather strikes, the guys at the Weather Channel seem to love showing cars sliding in the ice. And I love to watch it. Whenever I see a police chase being shown on CNN, I'm hooked. So video like this is right up my alley. It's from the Lefortovo Tunnel in Moscow.

Long Time No See

Maybe there should be a 12 step program for people like me.

I have a pant-load of great excuses. Work (including four days out of town), Christmas shopping, birthdays, more work, a very uncooperative cat... I could go on.

I should promise to do better.
